The Woodwind community is having a neighborhood garage sale Saturday, June 26th from 8-11am. All residents are encouraged to participate! All you have to do is have your items available for sale (outside your home) on this date. We’ll take care of the rest!

The event will be advertised on Craigslist as well as The Penny Saver Magazine, and we’ll be posting the typical garage sale signs around the neighborhood.

Our garage sale is being sponsored by Patti Sanshey of Judson Real Estate. Patti will be supplying doughnuts for participating residents and she’ll be encouraging potential home buyers to attend.

And, as a special bonus, all residents can participate in a special drawing to win a $50 gift certificate from P.F. Changs!

So, what are you waiting for? Start going through all your extra stuff so we can make this event a huge success!

The purpose of the meeting is to elect three members to the Board of Directors as well as conduct other business matters which may occur both before and after the meeting. Please note, there is a vacancy on the Board as well as openings for volunteers on various committees. Please contact us if you are interested.

By now, you should have received your voting ballot in the mail. Please complete and return no later than May 30, 3010, even if you plan on attending the meeting. It is necessary to obtain a quorum, which is 51% of the membership. Each home is entitled to one vote for each open position.

Our Association hires outside companies to replace community property, however, this typically happens only once a month.

If you notice a light that’s burnt out or missing, a sprinkler that’s gone haywire or any other piece of community property that needs repaired, please contact us as soon as possible.

Your assistance will help keep our neighborhood looking beautiful!

We need to respect our facilities. If the problem continues, we may need to close the spa. You can help by reporting problems when you see them.

If you see anyone vandalizing our community property, please contact us immediately. We need as much information as possible including the names of the people and where they live (if available), the date/time, and a detailed description of the vandalism that occurred. If you have a camera, take pictures of the vandalism and send it to us.

We hope these steps will help reduce the problem in the future. Our Association is also looking into ways to prevent this type of activity.

Noise Ordinance: San Marcos has a city noise ordinance the starts at 10:00pm and continues through 7:00am. If you’re planning to socialize during those hours, we kindly ask that move your party inside and close your windows to minimize the noise.

Pool/Spa Restrictions: The pool hours are 7:00am to 10:00pm. The pool and spa are for the use of our residents and their guests. Distribution of pool keys to others is strictly prohibited. A complete list of the Association’s rules regarding the pool/spa are located in the Membership Information Guide.

Lloyd’s departure means we now have an open position on our Board of Directors. If interested, please plan to attend the next Board of Directors Meeting on Thursday, February 4, 2010. You can also email Sandy, our Community Manager, for more information.
